Map network drive on a win98 machine to a folder on a win2k machine

I have two computers, one with Win2k and the other with
Win98. Both are members of the same workgroup, "WORK1". I
want to map a drive to a folder on the Win2k machine from
the Win98 machine, but I keep getting a dialog that tells
me I need to enter a password to access it. I did not set
up the folder as requireing a password, so I don't know
why this is happening. The Win2k machine is set up for two
users, each with Administrator privileges. I tried
entering the password(s) for those two accounts when
attempting the map, but they don't work. Can anyone help?
Thanks.

There are NO user accounts set up on the Win98 machine. I
have it set up in Network Neighborhood to use "Windows
Logon". Do I need to set up user accounts?
