Map drive after VPN connection

Hi All,

I am trying to map a drive using a client that is connected to the
network via a VPN connection. However, and I don't know if this has any
bearing or not, the VPN server is not a member of the domain. It is an
ISA server and it is using the same private IP addressing scheme. I
have tried adding a login script to the Profile tab of the User's
Properties dialog box but I am not positive I have the script in the
right location. I have also tried to launch the batch file by launching
the file from the Environment tab also in the User's Properties screen.
Neither works. I can map the drive if I run the script file after
connecting via VPN. It seems like the file is not being accessed when I
connect via VPN. I don't want the user to have to map the command
themselves because there is a security issue related to having them do
that.

Thank you for your time and assistance,
John

I'm not an ISA expert, but in the users profile tab, specifying a logon
script only works at the initial logon, in order to initiate the logon script
he would have to login over the VPN connection, there is a checkbok on the
logon screen (if the PC is in a domain) to logon over a dialup connection,
check that, select the VPN connection and then try it.

If not, you might just setup the logon script as a desktop shortcut they
can run after logon and VPN initiation.

Thanks
