Many functions in Outlook greyed out - help!

Hi, I am evaluating Outlook for the first time, and so using the trial
version. However, it is going rather badly - almost everything I am
interested in is greyed out! I cannot use any of the following:

Save As
Save As webpage
Save Attachments
Import / Export
Organise
Customize
Options
New Appointment
New anything else in Calendar!

etc etc

What is going on?!!! Is this some evil useless trialware? Any help
gratefully received...
 
Thank you, thank you! I assumed that was for registration itself. After as
restart, everything has now appeared!
