Packard Bell Easynote H5 (H5 264 i think)
Windows XP
3GHz, 1GB ram.

Hi, first post here and a big problem.
Ive been getting BSODs for a long time now, and its bugging me so much
I want to solve it now. Blue screens occur often as well as some
windows errors, like explorer not loading correctly.
The blue screen errors are mostly driver irql not less or equal, or
page fault in unpaged area.
And usually occur in win32k.sys.
I got a new soundcard which I havent been able to use, because it is
giving me those device driver BSODs except itll list alesis1394.sys as
the problem. The soundcard is NOT the problem, I have been getting
these errors long before i got it and it usually come up with
win32k.sys.

Can anyone give me some help/advice. If you need any more details I
will post them.

Cheers,
Martin

That site didnt give me much help fixing the problem Im having,
Any other ideas?

That site lists all the BSODs you mentioned with links to articles on how to
troubleshoot it. You have to look at hardware first to eliminate that as a
cause, then hardware drivers, and if there are still problems then look at
software. If you don't feel you can do all that troubleshooting, contact
the computer tech support. Send it in for repair.

Here's a link to a site with tips on hardware troubleshooting.

Ive put it in a local repair shop, as it is out of its warranty.
They fixed the power connector on the laptop and said that it was the
hard drive causing the BS since it has bad sectors.
They put in a new hd and within 5 mins of me using it BLUE SCREEN.
Same error, Driver IRQL....
I have put it back in and waiting for them to tell me they cant do
anything probably.

Any suggestions?

Laptops are proprietary. My preference would have been to send it to the
manufacturer for repair. I hope it works out.
