Can Viruscan 2006 vs 10 (retail version) be manually updated by downloading
DAT files as in previous versions.

If so could I have the current download site details please.

As i recall it used to be a question of putting 4 Dat files into the VSO
folder?

Thanks

Yes. You need to know where the Engine folder is. That's the folder where you will find
the DAT files such as SCAN.DAT.

You would then disable the Mcafee scanner
Download the ZIP file
Then extract the DAT files to the Engine folder and then re-enable the McAfee scanner.

Thanks David - could you point me to where the zip files are now - my old
links don't work - just take me to a site telling me McAfee have changed
their sites.

I have located where the DAT files are on my computer - just a couple of
folders below VSO

Many thanks
