Manual send and receive

Hi,

This is probably an easy one, but I can't seem to find the setting
anywhere.

We have an Outlook 2003 user who is connecting to an Exchange server.
When online Outlook sends and receives email automatically. This
particular user would like this changed so that he only sends and
receives when he wants to, i.e. by clicking the send and receive
button.

Is this possible? Can somepone point me in the direction of the
setting?

Think you need to uncheck the option to do a send and receive every x
minutes....Tools-Send/receive-Send/Receive settings-Define Send/Receive
Groups and at the bottom uncheck "Schedule an automatic send/receive
every"....

Hi,

1. Go To Tools->options->Mail Setup-> uncheck the box ...send immediately
when connected
2. Click on the tab: send/receive.....uncheck all the check boxes under..
Setting for all group accounts ;;
uncheck all the check boxes under.. when outlook is offline

That won't work for Exchange accounts.
