Managing User Accounts on XP

I keep getting a blue screen with a message to contact microsoft, I did that
and they told me to reload and repair OS. I did that, but now I can not
access the old user folders which had very import documents in them. Is there
a way to link the matching accounts from the first install to the second
install?

Any help would be of great appreciation,

In XP Home you have to boot in safe mode to see the security tab. In XP Pro
you have to disable simple file sharing.
