managing passwords for email through outlook

I have used Outlook XP on my old computer and now am using it on my new HP
Touchsmart PC with Vista. I set up two e-mail accounts. On the old
computer, filling in the password information for the accounts once in the
set-up always gave me send/receive power as soon as I launched Outlook. Now
I am being asked for my passwords for each e-mail account every time I open
Outlook - even though I check the option for saving my password. If I
ignore the request I can not send or receive e-mail through Outlook. Does
anyone have a solution to this problem?

If you are using OL2002 on Vista this is a known bug, which since OL2002 is
out of support may not be fixed
