managing incoming mail

I would like all my mail to come into my Outlook's main 'Inbox' folder - not
into the 'Inbox in imap.aol.com' folder. How can I combine these two Inbox
folders so that I manage my mail more efficiently?

You are mixing IMAP with POP3 accounts? You can use rules to move the items
or check if AOL also has POP3 access to their accounts.

As far as I can tell, AOL does not offer POP3. What rule can I apply to have
all incoming mail from 'Inbox in imap.aol Inbox' tranfer automatically to
Outlook's main 'Inbox' folder? I tried a few but could not it did not work.
Thanks!

I have looked for that option and havr checked out the 'howto.outlook'
website, and can't seem to resolve this issue. any other suggestions. I am OK
with computers, but can't seem to get this one issue resolved. Could removing
this account and then adding it again work?. I recently upgraded to Outlook
'03 from the 2000 version.

After upgrading from Outlook 2000 to Outlook 2003 I indeed recommend
recreating your mail profile. For this see;
http://www.howto-outlook.com/faq/newprofile.htm

As for the rule;
Start with a blank rule;
Check messages when they arrive
through specified account (select IMAP account)
move it to specified folder (select folder in pst-file)
and stop processing more rules

I did recreate my e-mail account with 2003. It did not change the issue, but
THANK YOU for explaining the rule to me. It seems to make sense. I will not
have a chance to try it for a few days, but it sounds like it should work.
Thanks again!
