Manage other computers?

I can't get the 'manage other computers' function to work on remote
computers. Do I need DNS, Wins, Netbios, or what? I can brows through
Network Places OK.

The error message says Computer \\athlon1900.eastman.com cannot be managed.
Tne network path cannot be found. Try connecting to another computer. I am
getting to this from Active Directory / computers. It does show to me
(within a browse-type window) the athlon1900 computer. I get the same error
message when I right-click My Computer then select 'manage' then click
connect to another computer.

Do you have DNS ?
if not,add the remoter m/c name in hosts file.
