Manage Add-ons & Spyware

i am looking to clean up computers i upgrade to XP SP2. i
want to disable any bad programs in the manage add-ons
section in IE. is there any websites i can find a current
list? can i automate control over what gets installed,
disabled, etc. can i uninstall these programs?
