Manage 2 LAN Cards

Hi,
I would like to install 2 LAN cards in my PC, a W2K PC, but I don't want
that they work at the same time.
For ex.

I have a script that do some actions, and in the time X of this script I
want to deactivate the card 1 and activate the card 2 and vice-versa.
