Man, 72, refused alcohol over age!

I saw that earlier - bureaucracy gone mad! They really have lost sight of what those rules are trying to achieve! :rolleyes:
 
I hope I look that young at 72 ... hell, I would love to get to that age.

There are some serious Laws pertaining to sell "booze" in any shop to underage drinkers ... not only does the shop get fined, but also the the actual shop assistant who sold the stuff to you.

I can understand the need, therefore, to drum into staff that if in doubt, ask to see ID ... however, it does seem a little OTT to actually refuse someone who is obviously at and over age of consent.


If you don't want people to drink or smoke, stop selling the bloody stuff. ;)
