Making PowerPoint start with a standard template

Hello everyone.

My company wants everyone who uses PowerPoint to use the standard
company template when they make presentations. Is there any way to
change the shortcut to make PowerPoint always start with the
"powerpnt.exe mytemplate.ppt" command line switch on every machine on
the network?

All office installations are local, and a lot of people have made
their own shortcuts to PP, on the desktop and quick launch bar, so
ideally the solution must take that into account.
