Make outlook today page default on outlook startup

I using outlook 2000 on winXP. I'm trying to make the
personal folders-outlook today page my default page on
startup of outlook (in now goes to inbox). The help
program gives steps to do this. But when I click
on "customize outlook today button" nothing happens. Can
anyone suggest what is causing this problem or another
way to set outlook today as the default page.

You have two unrelated issues in your message.

To make Outlook Today the default page, click Tools>Options>Other>Advanced
Options and change the "Startup in this folder" value to "Outlook Today".

To fix the Customize Outlook Today problem, simply search this group. It's
been asked and answered 100,000 times (literally).
