major explorer malfunction.. need help

I am having major dificulties with explorer restarting
every time I try to open a folder. Any folder. I have run
the updated versions of adaware and spybot s&d not to
mention everything norton has to offer and I am stumped
as to what could be the problem. I would appreciate any
help one could offer.

I have found this to be a problem in many systems that have been upated to
XP SP1, regardless of hardware configuration. It took me about six months
looking for and asking for remedies and I have found that a forthcoming
patch in the SP 2 answered my delimma. Click on
