main page template

I am trying to create a main page template. i am new to front page and not
sure how it is all put together.
Want i am tryign to do is this, I have my headline pic and I have links on
the left side of the page. When someone click the link the want the middle of
the page to change not the whole page.
To see what I am talking about you can see the lage to have up and running
now

You probably mean frames (which these days cause more problems than they
solve).

Try Frontpage features such as "include page" and (if you have Frontpage
2003) try the Dynamic Web Template.

They don't do exactly as youo want, but are the closed to what you want.
Another handy feature is the Inline Frame.

In Summary

try out the

1) Inline Frames (FP2003 only (?).

2) Dynamic Webteplates (FP 2003 only)

3) Include Pages (FP97 onwards (?)

Read the Help files on these features;

You are describing the use of frames, however that site does not use frames.
You should not use frames until you understand the problems of using them,
and then don't use them unless they are really necessary for your site.

That being said, you can learn a lot by; browse to the link you provided,
when you get there (if you are using IE) click on Edit - with FP (on your
browser's top tool bar) if prompted for un/pw just click on Cancel. This
will open that page in FrontPage and you can see pretty much how it is done.
