I have made Microsoft Outlook as my default email programme. But when i open
Outlook Express, mails from inbox of Microsoft Outlook get transferred to
inbox of Outlook Express. Can anybody help me to sort out this problem?

Can't remember exactly but my laptop used to take all the e-mails off my pc
at work when I connected the laptop to the netwrok. It turned out that one
of them was configured to deliver e-mails to a personal folder rather than
the mailbox. Try looking at where new e-mials are delivered to in both
programmes.

Hope this helps, I know how frustrating it was for me.

Remove your mail account from Outlook Express so that it stops downloading
the messages.

No, they don't. If you were to open Outlook again, you'll see the messages
still there. Outlook Express doesn't touch anything in Outlook. It has no
knowledge Outlook is even there. It would seem that your situation is that
you've selected the "leave a copy of the messages on the server" option so
that both Outlook and Outlook Express can download your messages. If you
used some other mail client, that one would also download the messages
without affecting any other mail client you have on your machine.

Why are you opening Outlook Express when Outlook is your mail program? If
you want to run Outlook Express but don't want it to download messages from
your server, remove the mail account in it.
