mails deleted when answered?

I have a problem that I have a few days. I use Windows Mail under Windows
Vista. When I´m answering an email, I can send the answer, and the mail I´ve
been answering is lost - it´s not in the deleted objects, it´s simply not
here even more :-( just the answer is in my sent objects.

I hope you know what I mean, my english is not very good ;-)

Just before the original message disappears, is it in the Inbox?
Make sure that Inbox has View > Current View set for "Show All Messages".

the message just got MARKED AS READ.
change the VIEW setting to one that will display read messages.
