Over the past 6 years I have posted 2696 times. I have answered a few
questions and asked a few myself.

That’s it, it’s over.
Best to jump before pushed.

Microsoft has decided that “to improve the customer experience†they are
going to close down this forum. Hmmmmm, nothing to do with cost then ? Oh
well, I have found it to be true that it really is no use tilting at
windmills.

Not only has my English improved (I hope) by regularly typing away on this
forum but also, by answering questions, I have also increased my knowledge
due to having to find answer to problems that would never crop up in my DB’s
as they are from different industries and professions. For both of these
reasons I’d like the thank everyone past and present (sound like a wedding
speak speech – I’d like to thank the bride’s mother for making the
sandwiches….:)

MS does have other forums for other programmes so they “may†start another
one up for Access users, if so, see you there. If not, “so long and thanks
for all the fishâ€.

Ci vediamo presto

Hi Wayne,

For some reason Microsoft Answers is blocked at work so I won't get there
much. UtterAccess might be my place to be of help to others.

Hope to run into you again.

I have looked at MS Answers but it seems to be all jumbled together, V Strange.

But I think I'll end up there.

Have also looked at UtterAccess, so you never know.

Unlikely, but if you're ever over in the Italian Dolomites, drop in and say
Hi, I'm in the bar at the bottom of the slopes 50m from the cable car most
evening from 5pm to 7pm during the winter.

I'm still lost for the reason they are shutting this down. Can't really how
it's an improvement to just delete something. Can't be that hard for Bill to
mirgrate it over to a forum if they have to shut the unernets

I've been wondering whether it's worth it myselfm but I can't just give up
because Microsoft decides to move in another direction. I'm partial to
newsgroups mostly because they are much easier, and orders of magitude
faster. On forums it will take much more than twice the time for me to do
what I do here. So I may stay with posting on a newsgroup:

comp.databases.ms-access

on UseNET, or I may just have to be satisfied with posting less. From what
I've seen in the Microsoft forums in the last few weeks, that traffic is
going down as well.

In any case Wayne, I hope to see you again, wherever we wind up.

Yeah, that jumble makes no sense whatsoever. There should be a
number of forums dedicated to Access.

Visit my blog in my sig every once in a while. In a day or two I'll
post the consensus of the alternatives available to us. Which will
include the "jumbled" up Answers forum. And I'll keep it updated
with developments.
