Mailing to PART of a DL

I have a DL with about 60 addresses on it. I'd like to send an email to
about a dozen or so on that list. Is there an easy way to send to just that
small portion of the DL?

Sure. Put the list in the recipient field, allow it to resolve (become
underlined), click the plus sign to its left to expand the list, and remove
the address you don't want to use. There's no other way, sort of making a
new list containing only the people you want or just entering those
addresses individually. When using a list, it's all or none.
