Mailbox limit question

I have recently sent a message to a recipient and I got a message back
stating the users mailbox has exeeded it limit.
What happens to my message, is it delivered or should I resend?

You need to resend, after telling your recipient (by non-email method!) that
he needs to empty some messages from his mailbox.

"Did not reach recipient" or something similar is probably in there as well.
Resending it will not help if the recipient hasn't cleaned up their mailbox
since you originally send it.

If your message holds a big attachment you can try to send without it and
hope there is still some room left. Otherwise contact the recipient by other
means.
