new computer everything seems to work,but mail for me.
mail comes in but can't send or reply. there is other
acct for daughter it works no problems.

Is this your Internet Service Providers (ISP) account? If so, you may want to contact them,
as they'll have the exact settings you'll need for your mail to work properly.
