when attempting to reply or forward a message from in-mail, I get a clear
window, or a totally black window with a border. when the clear window pops
up, i can see all my e-mails through it. No addressbar, subject or anything.
To fix, I have to reboot. Then it will work for a short time. have talked to
tech support 3 times. barb

This problem is probably caused by your antivirus program.
Windows Mail is not compatible with most McAfee or
Norton security programs. Those will need to be
uninstalled, not just disabled.

After uninstalling your non-compatible antivirus, download
and install a more compatible antivirus like the free Avast:
http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html

Even compatible antivirus programs will need to have their
email scanning option turned off. For more on this topic see

If it is due to the antivirus program, Why did it take 4 months to occur?

Could be an automatic update to the Anti-virus.
For example, a few months ago Norton had an automatic update which left all
Chinese versions unbootable.
