Mail Problem-Eudora

I haven't been able to get a response from any of the Eudora
newsgroups so if anyone here is using the program perhap you can help.

Using XP Home SP2. Eudora7

About 80% of the time, if I receive both junk and good mail, the junk
box opens, but my In box doesn't, nor does the associated sound file
get played but new messages are in my In box.

Any thoughts?
