Mail merge help!

I was attempting to do my first mail merge email and some of my contacts are
couples. I selected the option for it to only go to the male contact "example
josh instead of joshua and sarah or josh and sarah". However it still was
sent to both names on the contact. Could someone plese help me to know how to
have it send to each person individually instead of both names at one email
address?

That depends completely on what data fields you are using and what data they
contain.

Try "First_Name" as the merge field. If you have multiple names in that
field, then it will not work.
