Mail and Word '07 problem

Any help is appreciated.

I can't open any Word "03 or "07 .doc files when I receive them as an attachment from within an email message in Vista Mail. I can detach the ..doc file, save on the desktop and then open it fine. The set associations panel is set correctly but no luck. Anybody have an answer? By the way opening excel, power point etc. as attachments are no problems.

product that's part of Office Professional.

You'd be best off reposting your question to a newsgroup related to Windows
Mail (or perhaps one related to Word)
