Macintosh to XP Pro

I have a question regarding XP Proffesional and a
Macintosh. I realize this is a Windows 200 group but
thought someone may be able to help me here.
I have a PC running XP PRO with internet access through a
Linksys Wireless Access Point Router to a Linksys Cable
Modem. I also have a Macintosh Powerbook with an Airport
card installed. I have no problem getting internet
connectivity through the wireless router. What I am
having trouble with is setting up a shared folder that
the Mac can see on the PC. I am running OSX and have
tried to ping the PC IP with no luck. I can however ping
the router with a responce back.
What do I need to get this to work. Any help would be
greatly appreciated.

Hi
Windows XP has a built-in firewall this is on by default and blocks
communication between a Mac and PC via TCP/IP. This will prevent a Mac OS X
and XP system from working together. Check if its on!!

This could also be a routing issue. Are both the Mac and XP on private IP
of the same subnet? Have you enabled DHCP on the Access point? Please
check

Mac doesnt see NTFS partitions either... only FAT/Fat32.
Is the WinXP Pro machine hard drive formatted with NTFS?
