Macintosh Group Folder in AD

Is there a way in AD to create a Group shared folder that can have
Macintosh shared services support?
For example to have person "A" to allow both Wndows and Macintosh
users to shared a folder on its PC rather than using a File server?

Windows clients that are joined to a domain have the ability to share
local directories on their own PCs using users and groups from the
domain instead of locally created lists of users and groups.

If your Macs are bound the AD then they may also take advantage of the
permissions and your PC would allow the currently logged in user on the
Mac to access the directory via SMB.

I haven't tested this but it's worth a shot.

AD itself has the ability to store a reference to a "shared folder" but
it's only storing file path information for Windows using UNC pathing. I
can't see Mac's being able to take advantage of this.

Hope this helps! bill
