Machine Login Script

Chris Dersham

Maybe this can't be done... I created a policy to a
specific OU that will run a login script to map a certain
drive and add a printer to the Machine not the user.. so
as long as the machine stays in the OU then the printer
will stay...i did this mainly cause i have many users that
float around..so i don't want the printers to follow
them... the script works when i run it by double clicking
it..but not when its in a Machine policy logon script...
should it work?....does it have to do with trying to map a
drive prior to logging in?...dosn't win2k check all
network stuff prior to the user loggin in?......any
thoughts or ideas??

Thanks

Chris

make sure the domain computers have read/write access to the shares.

Is there any way to audit what is written to the CD-RW drive in W2K?
The domain controller is Windows 2003. I know that folders can be
audited in such a way, but I can't find anything to allow me to do the
same on removeable drives.

Thanks

Unfortunately, there is no method to audit this. The filesystem of CD
drives does not support security or auditing.

Some removable drives (non-CD based) can be audited, granted they support
the NTFS filesystem.
