mac to pc compatibility

when i paste charts etc from excel into powerpoint and then try and view
them on a pc none of the images show up. i just get blank boxes with red
crosses in the corner. also emailing excel and powerpoint files to pc users
doesnt seem to work either. is it a OS 10.3 issue? can anyone help please?!

I'm testing a theory to splve my problem, which may be similar to yours.
It occurred to me that it may have something to do with the PC file
names. For example, if a Mac file is named FILE.JPEG or SOUND.AIFF the
PC may have problems with four characters after the dot since it uses
only three as "extension".

When I burn a CD-ROM in the PC format (ISO 9660), all file names are
automatically truncated to eoght characters name + three characters
extension. Thus for example "VERYNICELADY.POFF" becomes "VERYNICE.LAD"
