problem with mac and ppt

Michael

I am building a Powerpoint presentation that will be viewed in both PC and
Mac environments. I am building it on PC. The presentation is built using
simple animations and graphics. There are two colored shapes drawn at the
both of the slide, and two text boxes with a word related to the theme. All
of these elements appear on every screen, and the shapes change color every
few slides. The presentation is self running, based on the animation
timings, and plays fine on both PC and Mac. One problem: On the Mac, at
every slide transition, a dotted black outline appears briefly around both
the shapes and the two words that remain from slide to slide. Appears, then
blicks off. Very distracting. I have tested this on Powerpoint for Mac 2004.
In earlier versions of Powerpoint for Mac I do not see this (but they will
not support the animations I'm using). If I put the shapes and words on the
master, the effect seems to go away, but them I lose the ability to change
the color of the shapes periodically. Is there a solution to this outline
effect? Thanks!

Hi Michael

I'm not a mac user so can't test this or help with the outline thingo but if
the problem disappears when you put the shapes on the master that's the way
I would go. Just create different masters for the different colour
combinations, no?
