FOR REMOVING WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER FROM MY COMP I CLICKED ON THE "ADD/REMOVE
WINDOWS COMPONENTS"ON THE CONTROL PANEL.AND THEN I CLICKED ON THE CHECK-BOX
CORRESPONDING TO WMP &CLICKED NEXT.BUT I DIDN'T ALLOWED MY COMP TO COMPLETELY
UNINSTALL WMP.SO I CLICKED CANCEL.BUT THE THING THAT HAPPENED WAS THAT FROM
THAT DAY ONWARDS I FOUND SOME OF THE APPLICATIONS MISSING FROM MY
"ACCESSORIES" MENU INCLUDING "PAINT,WORDPAD &GAMES INCLUDING PINBALL etc.BUT
STILL I CAN SEE "PAINT" AND ALL IN THE MENU WHEN I CLICK THE "ADD/REMOVE
WINDOWS COMPONENTS" AGAIN.SO THAT MEANS THAT THESE APPLICATIONS ARE NOT
COMPLETELY REMOVED FROM MYY COMP.HOW WILL I REGAIN IT BACK? HELP ME!

Check the following locations and see if the programs really exist or only
the invalid shortcuts remain. Open My Computer and browse for the following
locations:

"C:\Program Files\Windows NT\Accessories\wordpad.exe"
"%SystemRoot%\system32\mspaint.exe"
"C:\Program Files\Windows NT\Pinball\PINBALL.EXE"

If there is none file corresponding those shortcuts that means you have only
the shortcuts left.

The easy way to recover the programs could be Add/Remove Programs itself.
What you need is Windows XP CD. If you have it then place it in the CD-ROM
and open Add/Remove Programs. Uncheck the Accessories tick mark and finish
the wizard. This will remove all the Accessories prorgams from your computer
including the invalid shortcuts. Then again make a Check Mark on Accessories
and finish the Wizard. Now, you will be asked for the Windows XP CD if it is
not already placed. So before doing this exercise make sure that you have the
perfect CD.

Hope this help, let us know!
