A little difficult to determine what's happening without any details, Amir.
The "basic" driver which comes with Windows XP was written in the summer of
2001, before the October XP launch. If you haven't updated the graphics
driver for your card from the manufacturer's web site, it does not have
OpenGL support included. None of the "starter" drivers did, by choice of
the manufacturers.
