lyra rd2840 portable rights

I have tried transferring wma's that I have bought from Napster and
Musicmatch to my Lyra. I am able to copy the files over by syncing or using
wm9, but they won't play. When I use musicmatch to copy, it says that I
don't have the portable rights. I've downloaded the latest driver from rca.
I also made a wma of my own to make sure it would work, and yes it played.
Is there something else I need?

Thanks

Does that model support files with DRM?

It doesn't say that it does, so I guess no. Is that something that RCA can
just add with their next driver update? Other models of the lyra do support
DRM files.

Yes, DRM support is up to RCA.
