lsass.exe

Hey there! I'm worried about the sasser worm. In the
Windows Task Manager under the processes tab one of the
processes is lsass.exe. However, a scan from microsoft
claims I am not infected. What gives? Any advice on how
I can find out what this (and other) processes are?

Mucho gracias

It's supposed to be there - don't worry, especially if you are all up to
date and not infected.

.
lsass.exe is the vulnerability that is exploited. Read
prior posts on how to protect this vulnerability. Do not
end process on lsass.exe.

Let me correct what I said earlier... Norton AntiVirus was able to "clean" the "infected" file, was infected by a trojan/worm.
