lsass listed in task manager

Al

I was infected by the sasser worm. I have done all the
fixes recommended - firewall, security update 835732,
etc. My computer is still very slow online. I went to
Task Manager and under processes found a file called
lsass.exe listed as a SYSTEM file. Task Manager could
not end the process. How do I get rid of this thing?

You don't want to get rid of it. It is an essential part of Windows.
Sasser and Blaster took advantage of a flaw in the coding of windows which
caused a buffer overrun which caused LSASS to shutdown, but if you have
removed the worm you are okay. KEEP lsass on your system.
