Hi.
When I burn CDs, I always get a Windows message saying
that I'm low on virtual memory and that some programs will
be cut back on memory so I can continue to successfully
burn the CD.
I usually have low memory to begin with (I've already
maxed out the memory on this oldddddd computer) and I use
my computer fine, except this memory thing. After the CD
is burned, I check my memory to see I have more left over.
My question is, any damage being done in taking memory
away from other things just to burn the CD? (For example,
I notice my firewall takes up about 6 million, but then
after I burn a CD and check Task Manager, the memory
devoted to firewall is down to 2 million, even though the
firewall appears to be working properly, as is everything
else.)
