Low mic signal

Angel Massa

Yesterday I was trying voice recognition on Vista. The feature looks great
on the tutorial but after finishing it and trying to control with voice it
didn't worked as expected. I've noticed that the signal bar was very low so
I checked for mic signal volume. It was already set at 100% but I'm getting
a very low signal.

On Windows XP with same audio hardware and mic I get good signal.

Anyone had similar problems?

Regards,
Angel.

I got this issue 2 months ago with Skype and I found that checking Mic Boost
in Audio devices manager fixed the problem.
Try to do it.
Control Panel | Manage Audio Devices | Microphone | Properties | Others >
check Microphone Boost box.
