Lotus Notes vs. Exchange+Outlook 2003. Appointments

The problem is:
When I receive request for a meeting from an Notes 6.5 Client I get an .ics attachment instead of the appointments itself. While inviting people from Outlook to Lotus works fine the other way around doesnt work. It comes with an attachment and that is not acceptable.

Any solution to this? Maybe some add-ins, plug-ins for Outlook for this situation?
