lost word on desktop!

For some reason I have lost the link on my desktop that allowed me to access
Microsoft Word. I have to go into older documents and open a new document in
order to pull up Word. Can anyone tell me how to regain my link??

There are a variety of ways to recover the shortcut/link. Here's one. With
at least part of the desktop visible, click Start button - All Programs -
Microsoft Office. Using the right mouse button, drag the icon for Microsoft
Word to the desktop, and drop it there. When prompted, click on Create
Shortcuts Here.
