lost usb ( printer, cable modem network connection) after service pak 1 install

My dell dimenson running xp pro does not load drivers for
cable moden or any other usb device attached please help
 
go to device manager uninstall all of the usb controllers, reboot the computer
XP will reload the drivers for all the USBs
 
Try going into Device Manager and delete all USB controllers. Restart and Let Windows find them again. Right click on MY Computer and click on properties. Click the Hardware tab and you will see Device Manager. Click on it to expand. Go to USB controllers.
