Lost tool bar

First of all, I apologize for my ignorance!

I am working on my brother's computer. He is running Internet Explorer 6.0
as his browser. He has lost a bar on his computer where you type in a
website address, hit "GO" and it takes you to that website. I can't remember
the exact name of this bar, and I cannot figure out how to restore it.

Please help!! I appreciate your assistance!

To restore the Address Bar: View > Toolbars > Address Bar

To restore the GO button (if it doesn't appear when you restore the Address
Bar): Tools > Internet Options > Advanced tab > Browsing section > place a
checkmark in Show Go button in Address Bar

That's hardly an ignorant question. You should see some of the posts I made
when I was starting out...now that was ignorance.

Thank you very much for your response Mr. Zieglar.

I followed your instructions, and now have an icon on the right hand side of
the toolbar that states "Address." It cannot be selected. Any further
suggestions?

Thanks again!

It's not an icon, it's the label next to the Address box you type addresses
in. Click the vertical line next to it and hold the mouse button down, and
drag to the left. If it won't drag then select View > Toolbars > Lock the
Toolbars to remove the tick and allow toolbar dragging.
