My son was using one ov my computers and in using it thier were a lot of
Search progrms installed, like Zsearh and others. in my effert to clean up
the system and delete all of the search programs it looks like i deinstall
the search function for Windows explorer and Internet explorer. when i click
on Search the frame comes up on the left side with nothing in it. I need to
know what progrms to restore to the system.

Thanks for the reply. I followed your link and did the
Install of srchasst. but it didn't fix my problem. any
other suggestions?

First are you sure the system is clean of all malware? What programs
did you run? If you haven't already, run HijackThis and post the log to
one of the specialty forums for it, _NOT_ this one:

Hi,

Checkpoints:

In IE/View/Explorer Bar/Search (not necessary for everyday, but see if it
behaves differently).

In IE/Search/Change Preferences/Change files and folders search behavior.
