Running XP Pro and am working through identifying and cleaning out
background tasks that I don't need. First up is msmsgs.exe. Taking
nearly 6.5mb of memory. I don't use any instant messaging progrms. So
I was going to configure it to NOT startup on system start ....
Start --> All Programs --> Windows Messenger,
then from the Windows Messenger menu: Tools --> Options -->
Preferences
I found that "Run Windows Messenger when Windows Starts" was *not*
selected.
So ... why is it showing up in Task Manager?
