Windows Messenger

I don't use Windows Messenger, but I found the following entry listed as running
in Task Manager: msmsgs.exe.

In the System Configuration Utility, Services tab, Messenger is listed as
running. This is despite the fact that in Messenger, Tools\Options\Preferences,
"Run this program when Windows starts" is unclicked. Can I disable this by
unclicking it in System Configuration Utility, Services tab?

To uninstall Messenger from your profile.

Click Start, Run (Paste the following into the box, Press Enter)
RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove
