Lost Remote Desktop Connection

In error, I unistalled Remote Desktop Connection when I was having EXTREME
problems with VPN. Now I can't reinstall it. I found a link at MS, Remote
Desktop Connection (Terminal Services Client 6.0) for Windows XP (KB925876),
but when I try to run or save it, I get an error message "Not enough storage
is available to process this command." I then saved the program to my
desktop which it readily accepted, but it wont let me run it. Any ideas? I
have Vista Basic.

You cannot delete the remote desktop feature in control panel. Any system
files you deleted can be replaced with SFC. The System applet will turn it
back on.

Some Windows Vista functions may not work, or Windows Vista may stop

Still need your help please - looking for a way to install Remote Desktop
Connection on my Vista Home Basic. As noted below, I get an error message
"Not enough storage is available to process this command." How can I
override this and load the application? Thanks.

Carey, thank you. I found the Remote Desktop using the link you gave me
which suggested I search using "mstsc" and it appeared! However, I cant find
where it actually resides despite numerous searches. I CAN use it by
searching from the start menu and typing in mstsc. I would like to restore
the link, save to programs, save to desktop, but dont know where to find it.
Can you help me? Thanks again.

To create a Desktop icon for Remote Desktop:

1. Right-click on your desktop and select New > Shortcut
2. Type: mstsc in the box that appears and click Next.
3. Type: Remote Desktop Connection in the next box and click Finished.

Thank you, I completed the shortcut. I am confused as to why the mstsc
search works to locate Remote Desktop BUT any other search in programs,
start, etc. using the words Remote Desktop found nothing...... Would you by
chance have an idea? One person thought loading the Vista SP1 would bring
back the lost connection, so using auto updates, I did run SP1 but it did not
bring back the link. Anyway, I have the link using mstsc, just wondering if
you could 'learn me' something here. LOL.
