Lost recycly bin

I recently installed a new and bigger hard drive. After copying all
files from the old HD to the new I then changed the new HD to being the
master and the old to being the slave. Now I have lost my recycle bin.
The icon is still on my desktop but when I delete something or drag and
drop to the icon, it is deleted immediatly. It never shows up in the
bin. Can you help me find it again

Right click on the icon. select Properties then select the Global tab. See
if "Do not move files to the Recycle Bin. Remove files immediately when
deleted" is checked.
