Lost Programs

Windows XP Pro. Programs have dissappeared.Is there a
method to use to regain them ?

System Restore is a good start. If all else fails reinstall the program.

Please understand that programs do not disappear by themselves. If you are
experiencing this behavior then you should consider the possibility that
your system has been seriously compromised.

Thanks for quick response. I tried system resore, it will
not allow me to go back far enough. Unfortunately I have
not a disc available for reinstall......I recently added
a 40g hard drive into system. Would it be possible for
the programs to be back on the C drive somehow.

As I continued my quest to locate XP Pro. " Lost
Programs " In documents- I opened one labeled Cleaner4
with notepad.Iside was what appeared to be all that was
lost. How this happened is beyond me?? Is it possible to
reteieve them? Could this even be what I am looking for?
