lost product key for ms xp pro.

I misplaced my authenticity certificate, or lost it for
good.
Can I get my product key from microsoft? I have a
registration number from my first install. I need to
reinstall xp in order to repair some bugs. And let me
tell you ms Xp has not been good to me at all. Roxio,
just one word, it has cost me to fix my cd burner problems
and even now it still doesn't work. I need to revammmmp
with a new xp installation. All those over-the internet
fixes have nothing but confused and destroyed the
operation of the pc. I will telephone whomever with my
reg. number. Please hook me up. Seriously,

If Windows XP is still installed on the computer:

Near the bottom "View Product Key XP"
This will enable you to view the Product Key of the Windows installation
which is currently on your computer.

There are two places at least where ProductId gets stored.

To see the first place, open Registry by going to START-RUN and entering
REGEDIT and Navigate to
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion].
In right pane, look for key by the name "ProductId".
This is your Windows Product Id.

Alternatively you can navigate to
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion]
and still find same field with the name ProductId.
